Plastic products from the idea through the prototype to the series
Barnstorfer Kunststofftechnik BARKU is specializes in the processing of plastics using injection molding and extrusion technology. Precision parts, tubes and profiles are manufactured quickly and reliably with state-of-the-art machines. The range of services covers all work steps from the first idea or sketch of a product over the construction of a prototype to serial production. A high degree of flexibility and high capacities guarantee the guarantee of customized specifications. The BARKU works according to the guidelines of the quality standard ISO 9001. New technologies and techniques, such as the rapid prototyping process for prototype production, 2-component injection molding, insert technology or co-extrusion technology are part of the range of services and are constantly being expanded.
Development
From the idea to the prototype
According to individual customer specifications, experienced designers develop customized product solutions with modern 3D CAD systems. Developments and designs are created that can be tested quickly and directly as prototypes in real conditions in conjunction with rapid prototyping. Thus, a quick and smooth process from the idea to the finished prototype is realized, which can be followed by rational mass production – all from one source.
Production
Extrusion
Tubes and standard or special profiles made of PVC, PU, PE and PA are manufactured on more than 10 extrusion lines. Diameters of up to 150 mm and profile widths of up to 1000 mm can be realized. The extrusion machines used guarantee excellent surface quality and consistent dimensions. By means of a special co-extrusion process, different starting materials can be processed in one operation, for example, into semi-flexible foldable tubes. Through professional planning, constant renewal and expansion of the machine park as well as continuous training and further education of BARKU employees, the production processes are constantly optimized and quality and punctuality ensured.
After the production of the individual plastic parts, these are assembled on site to form a product. All further processing steps that are necessary are carried out directly at BARKU – individually according to customer requirements. These include welding, cutting, punching and drilling as well as, for example, the printing of the products.
Injection
On more than 50 injection molding machines with tumblers from 220KN to 10,000KN, products are manufactured in all common materials (PP, PA, PUC, POM, ABS …) in small, medium and large series. Furthermore, complex products can be produced in one operation using 2-component and insert technology.
